The Innova Crysta has received a huge response in just the two months since its launch. Toyota had introduced the MPV with two diesel engine variants. Now, the Japanese manufacturer has expanded the Innova Crysta range with the addition of an all-new petrol variant. Available in both automatic and manual transmission options, the petrol variant of the Innova Crysta has been launched at Rs 13.72 lakh and Rs 19.62 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) respectively. Booking for the petrol variant of the Innova Crysta have already started while the delivery of the new vehicles will start from today.
The petrol Innova Crysta is powered by an all-new 2.7-litre Dual VTT-I engine that is capable of producing 166PS of max power and 245Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine comes with an option of being coupled to a 6-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission. As per ARAI certification, Toyota claims that the automatic variant of the petrol Innova Crysta returns a fuel efficiency of 10.83 kmpl while the manual returns a fuel efficiency of 9.89kmpl, which is surprisingly less than the automatic. With the introduction of a petrol variant, Innova Crysta owners will now experience lower NVH levels inside the cabin and faster acceleration thanks to the new engine.
Carry forwarding the long list of features that are available in the diesel model of the Innova Crysta, the petrol variant has been built on an all-new chassis that improves toughness and enhances ride comfort. The MPV is equipped with Eco and Power drive modes that can be selected by the driver as required. On the safety front, the standard variant of the MPV comes with three airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA), and height-adjustable seatbelts with pre-tensioner for the front seats. Along with the equipment from the standard variant, the higher ZX model comes with seven airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) & Hill-start Assist Control (HAC). The petrol variant of the Innova Crysta also comes with impact sensing door unlock that is operated by a secondary battery.
The petrol Innova Crysta, apart from the standard colour shades, is available in three additional new colours options of Garnet Red, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Avant-garde Bronze.
