Toyota Kirloskar announces changes in top management

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has undertaken a major organizational restructuring, which will come into effect from January 1, 2013

In a bid to take faster decisions, Japanese car maker, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has undertaken a major organisational restructuring and created a new set up. Under a new set up, which will come into effect from January 1, 2013. Toyota has promoted Shekar Viswanathan, deputy management director, commercial, to the post of vice-chairman, external affairs. Sandeep Singh, deputy managing director, sales, marketing and customer service has been promoted to the post of deputy managing director and chief operating officer. In his new role, he will head sales, marketing, customer service and commercial divisions.

On the revised structure of the organization Hiroshi Nakagawa, MD & CEO, TKM said "As we expand our operations in India, we need our team to take up new roles and responsibilities. I wish my colleagues the best for their new endeavours."

Masanori Takahashi, deputy managing director, technical and purchase, has been promoted to the post of deputy MD and COO. In his new role he will head manufacturing, technical, purchase and vendor Development including supplier support. All the above mentioned executives will continue to hold positions in the company's Board of Directors.

Shigeru Tomonaga, currently holding the post of deputy MD, manufacturing will be an executive advisor to the TKM Board of Directors and chief of supplier support center.
