The TVS NTorq 125 Race XP, which was launched just last month, has also witnessed a nominal hike of Rs 750. Even the TVS XL100, Scooty Pep+ and the base variant of Jupiter didn’t see a considerable difference in prices after the hike. However, the other variants of the Jupiter have now become the dearer by up to Rs 2,336.
The TVS NTorq 125 range too witnessed a sizable price hike. TVS witnessed a 17 percent dip in sales of this scooter, and the price hike may further affect numbers, especially with the launch of Yamaha Ray-ZR 125 Hybrid around the corner.
TVS has not revealed the reason for the price hike, but it is likely due to the increase in manufacturing costs. The surging fuel prices are another problem for the customers. Fortunately, the Hosur-based company is also focusing on its electric two-wheelers and we might have something exciting coming our way soon.
