TVS Jupiter Grande Launched In India

The Hosur-based two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturer has launched the TVS Jupiter Grande in India today. The special edition version, which is the newest addition to the TVS Jupiter portfolio, gets a host of new features along with a brand new paint job. The TVS Jupiter Grande will be offered in disc and drum variants, priced at Rs 59,648 and Rs 55,936 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.

Besides a brand new paint job, the TVS Jupiter Grande gets a cross-stitched maroon seat, Grande badging, beige panels, body coloured grab handle (on the disc brake-equipped variant) and chrome accents. TVS has also equipped the Jupiter Grande with a new LED headlight with position lamp, a semi-digital instrument console with econometer and an independent adjustable rear shock. The digital inset in the instrument console also includes a readout for percentage ridden in Eco mode. The disc variant gets diamond-cut alloy wheels while the base variant comes with standard alloys.

Mechanically, the TVS Jupiter Grande remains unchanged. It’s powered by the same 109.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8PS of power and 8Nm of torque, mated to a CVT transmission. Suspension duties, however, are now handled by an independent preload-adjustable rear shock and the same old telescopic forks at the front. Braking is taken care of by 130mm drum brakes at both ends unless you opt for the variant with a front disc brake. The Jupiter Grande goes up against the Honda Activa 5G, Yamaha Alpha and the Hero Maestro Edge.

The Starlight Blue colour of the TVS Jupiter Grande is mated to a premium cross-stitched maroon seat and the scooter sports a Grande badge. The beige panels, body coloured pillion handles and stylish chrome highlights further accentuate its grand look.
