TVS has taken to social media to tease the upcoming 125cc bike.
The teasers give away the bike’s instrument cluster, seat, design elements, and fascia.
While it was believed it would be called the Fiero 125, the new ‘R’ logos indicate it might be called something else.
(Update: TVS has launched the Raider 125 in India. Head here to read the launch story.)
Recently, we reported that TVS Motor was on course to launch two new 125cc offerings. Now, the company has started dropping teasers of its upcoming 125cc bike on social media. The motorcycle officially breaks cover on September 16th, 2021.
Contrary to most teasers, these give away quite a lot about the new motorcycle. Design-wise, the bike has a unique Bumblebee-like fascia with radical-looking LED DRLs. Then, we see the muscular tank with sporty-looking shrouds for company. The bodywork and fuel tank are in a flashy yellow shade (similar to the standard NTorq’s yellow), while the tank shrouds are glossy black.
TVS has shone light on the finer details too. These include an all-LED headlamp, LED taillight with a keyhole tucked under it, bulb indicators, split seats, and a colour LCD instrument cluster.
The LCD unit seems to pack a gear position indicator, service reminder, low fuel indicator, clock, eco mode indicator, and even a rider greeting function, in addition to the standard bits. Bluetooth connectivity is probably missing here, though.
While we have quite a lot of deets, we still don’t know what the bike would be called. We speculated that it could be called the Fiero 125, but the teaser shows an ‘R’ badge, indicating that it could be named Retron or Raider, considering the bike maker has trademarked both names.
Whatever the case, the upcoming TVS 125cc bike surely seems promising, at least from the teasers. And if TVS provides it with the NTorq 125’s motor (which is expected), the package will only get better.
