Hero MotoCorp has silently introduced an updated version of the Super Splendor. The new updated version of the Super Splendor has been priced at Rs 51,250 (ex-showroom Delhi). As part of the update, the new Hero Super Splendor will be available in new colour options of black, blue, grey and red. Apart from the new colour options, the 125cc motorcycle will also sport revised body graphics, alloy wheels finished in black, maintenance free battery and a side stand indicator in the instrument console.
The changes made on the new Super Splendor are only cosmetic and no improvements have been made on the mechanical front. Powering the commuter bike is a 124.7cc, four-stroke, fuel-injected motor producing 9PS at 7,000rpm and torque rating of 10.3Nm at 3,000rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear-wheel via a four speed constant mesh gearbox. The new Super Splendor will be only available in drum brake variant (130mm dia drum front and rear) as Hero has dropped the disc brakes variant due to lack of demand. The Hero Super Splendor hasn’t received the same amount of success as its 100cc sibling and Hero will be hoping that the new visual changes will help in boosting its sales. The Hero Super Splendor will be pitched against the likes of the Honda CB Shine, TVS Phoenix 125, Bajaj Discover 125M among the others in our 125cc two-wheeler spectrum.
