Yamaha Alpha gets three new colours

India Yamaha has introduced three new colour schemes for the 110cc Alpha scooter. The new colours are Rocking Red, Beaming Blue and Gleaming Gold.

The new colour schemes however, will come at a premium, costing about Rs 1000 more than the Alpha with the existing colour schemes. The scooters with the new colour schemes cost Rs 49,939 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Mechanically, there are no changes in the Alpha. It is still powered by the same four-stroke, 113cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which makes 7.1PS at 7,500rpm and 8.1Nm at 5,000rpm. Power is transmitted by an efficient CVT.

Other features like drum brakes, long seat, telescopic front suspension have also been carried forward to the Alpha with the new colour schemes.

Armed with Yamaha’s Blue Core philosophy, which is said to minimize friction and increase efficiency, the Alpha is claimed to offer fuel efficiency figures of 66 kmpl.

The new colours should add to the appeal of the Alpha and India Yamaha will look to clock some additional sales numbers once the festive season kicks in.
