Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd., today, launched an all new range of its economical and practical motorcycle Saluto with a front disk brake.
The disk brake version of Yamaha Saluto will also get four new colour schemes and sporty graphics and has been launched at a price of Rs 54,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Saluto’s specs remain unchanged with the same air cooled, 4 stroke, SOHC, 2-Valve engine based on the Blue Core Engine Development ideal. Boasting of being the lightest in its class at 113 kg, Yamaha India claims the Saluto will offer mileage of 78 kmpl.
“It has been our hallmark to continually innovate our products to have a strong connect with our customer base and ensure utmost customer delight. The new Saluto is aimed to provide safer and more controlled biking experience for the city traffic conditions,” said Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd.
Yamaha says the Saluto has been designed keeping in mind the needs expressed by the 125cc class customers and that included a priority on fuel economy, along with affordable pricing.
We have already had a brief ride on the new Yamaha Saluto, and came back impressed with its smooth, refined engine, good built quality and sorted ride. The lack of a disc brake was clearly a disappointment for us, and Yamaha India seems to have taken note of that now. The standard drum brake version will continue to be available and costs Rs 52,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
