India Yamaha Motor has launched a new colour variant of its economical and practical motorcycle, the Yamaha Saluto 125, today, 14th September, 2016. Now, the 125cc commuter will be available with an all-new Matt Green paint job. Catering to customers’ demand, the new colour variant of the bike will be available in both versions -- drum and disc brakes.
Speaking on the occasion, Roy Kurian, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said, “Since its launch, Saluto has gained immense popularity in the commuter segment. The launch of new vibrant colour schemes and graphics of Saluto are in line with Yamaha’s promise to constantly delight its customers. While the core concept of Saluto remains the same, Yamaha strives to continuously interact and excite its target audience with the new products and services.”
Mechanically, the Saluto is powered by the same 125cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-Valve engine. It is the lightest bike in its segment, weighing just 113 kg, and the company claims a fuel efficiency figure of 78 kmpl. The bike will be available at all Yamaha dealers across the country in the coming week.
The Saluto has been designed keeping in mind the needs of 125cc customers, and that includes a priority on fuel economy, along with affordable pricing. There are two variants available with the bike and the prices are Rs 53,600 and Rs 56,100 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the drum and disc variants, respectively.
