Yamaha Introduces Matt Green Colour To The Saluto

India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd has launched a new 125cc commuter motorcycle called the Saluto at Rs 52,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Yamaha says the new Saluto is the lightest vehicle in the 125cc class at 112kg wet weight and is powered by a new engine with a more compact combustion chamber than previous 125cc models released by the company.
Equipped with Yamaha’s Blue Core technology, the Saluto boasts of fuel efficiency figures of 78kmpl. The air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder 125cc engine makes about 8.3PS power at 7000rpm. Power is transmitted by a four-speed gear box but maximum torque of 10.1Nm comes in low at 4500rpm. Shod with tubeless rubber on 18-inch five spoke alloys, the new Saluto comes equipped with front telescopic forks and twin shocks at the rear.
Yamaha says the Saluto is based on the concept of “economical and practical Indian family motorcycle” and has been designed after consultations with 125cc class customers, who expressed a priority on fuel economy alongwith affordable pricing. The Saluto replaces the SS125 and the YBR125 in Yamaha's 125cc product offering.
