Yamaha India has launched its first ever scooter boutique in the country in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The boutique is spread over an area of 3100 sq. ft. which includes sales and service facilities. All the Yamaha scooters will be sold from this boutique. Apart from selling Yamaha scooters, the boutique will also hosts a gallery of riding accessories and offer customers a unique scooter buying experience.
Yamaha currently sells the Fascino, Alpha, Ray Z and Ray-ZR in the scooter segment. All the scooters get the same 113cc engine that develops 7.1PS @ 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 8.1Nm @ 5,000rpm. The Fascino is targeted at someone looking for a unique design, the Ray is a scooter for girls, the Ray-Z is targeted at young men, and the Yamaha Alpha at the family man.

Yamaha has not yet launched the motorcycle in the country though the manufacturer displayed the scooter at the Boutique flashing their prowess in scooter technology.

Yamaha’s Scooter Boutique, being the first of its kind in India as well as in the world, will bring out the global experience of exciting brand engagement and appropriate customer interface to let the Indian customers connect their scooter passion to the worldwide trend of scootering.”
