Yamaha had launched the MT-15 BS6 just before Auto Expo 2020. Along with the BS6 update, came a new colour variant that was, until now, available only on the international-spec MT-15. Now, the MT-15 BS6 in the new Ice Fluo Vermillion paint scheme has reached Yamaha dealerships.
The Yamaha MT-15 BS6 comes in three paint options: Metallic Black, Dark Matte Blue, and Ice Fluo Vermillion. The first two colour schemes cost Rs Rs 1,38,900, while the new colour holds a Rs 500 premium over the other two.
For 2020, the MT-15 BS6 gets a greener motor, a new LED tail lamp, a side stand cutoff switch, and a radial rear tyre. Other than that there are no cosmetic or mechanical updates to the BS6 motorcycle.
The updated BS6-compliant 155cc liquid-cooled and fuel-injected motor now delivers 18.5PS and 13.9Nm, a drop of 0.8PS and 0.8Nm over the BS4 version.
The Yamaha MT-15 BS6 costs Rs 2,900 over its BS4 iteration. It competes with the KTM 125 Duke BS6. Yamaha has also unveiled the FZ 25 BS6 and the new FZS 25 BS6. Both motorcycles will be launched in April.
