We first laid eyes on it a couple of months ago, and Yamaha has now officially launched the Yamaha MT-15 BS6. As we revealed earlier, engine output is down to 18.5PS and 13.9Nm, making it a substantial 0.8PS and 0.8Nm lower than before. On the plus side, the hike in price isn’t massive, just Rs 2,900 over the BS4 version.
There’s also a new colour option on offer - the Ice Fluo Vermillion scheme shown when the bike was unveiled in December. This colour option will set you back by Rs 1,39,400, while the existing metallic back dark matte blue schemes will sell for Rs 1,38,900. For reference, the BS4 bike was priced at Rs 1,36,000.
The only other notable change is the addition of a radial rear tyre, side-stand engine cut-off feature and a new LED tail light. That’s not all though, because Yamaha has also launched BS6-compliant versions of the Ray ZR 125 Fi and FZ25. We’ll have more information about these coming up soon. Stay tuned to ZigWheels.
