Despite the Kylaq set to get a single 1-litre turbo petrol unit, it boasts some impressive specifications over certain of its rivals

Skoda is set to globally reveal the Kylaq to our shores on November 6 and it will go on sale sometime in early 2025. Positioned as the entry-level car in Skoda’s lineup, the Kylaq will sit below the Kushaq SUV. With recent details revealed by the carmaker, it's clear that the Kylaq is set to make a strong place for itself in the highly competitive sub-4-metre SUV segment.

While not all features or details have been disclosed, Skoda has shared key information about the Kylaq’s powertrain setup. In this report, we delve into its specifications to see how it stands in its segment. No need for speculation—you can find all the details below:

Skoda Kylaq

You can pair the Kylaq’s 1-litre turbo petrol engine with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. This setup delivers 115 PS of power, putting it on par with the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Kia Sonet. However, it does fall short when compared to the Mahindra XUV 3XO’s T-GDI turbo-petrol engine.

Additionally, it boasts a significantly greater torque of 178 Nm, second only to the Mahindra XUV 3XO in the segment, which has a larger turbo-petrol engine.
