Renault Kwid vs Tata Tiago: Comparison Review

Finally after the course of unexpected delays, Tata has finally launched the highly anticipated Tiago hatchback. And as hinted by the manufacturer during its unveiling, the Tiago has been launched undercutting the completion by a good margin. With the base variant priced at Rs 3.95 lakh, the Tiago is the cheapest amongst the four hatchbacks compared here. The popular Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Hyundai Grand i10 have been priced similar to each other at Rs 4.82 lakh and Rs 4.85 lakh respectively. The Chevrolet Beat is apparently the costliest of the lot and is priced at Rs 5.16 lakh.

On comparing the top-end variants, the Tiago has yet again managed to claim the position of the least priced model. Priced at Rs 5.54 lakh, the Tiago is cheaper than the Celerio by Rs 36,000. The Beat is again the costliest and is priced at Rs 6.38 lakh and is followed by the Grand i10 at Rs 6.04 lakh.
Out of the four different brands compared, Tata and Maruti Suzuki offer optional safety packages for almost all variants of the respective hatchbacks considered.
In totality, Tata Motors has got a winner in the current hatchback segment with the Tiago. If accepted well by the buyers in the market, the Tiago will give a tough fight for the other hatchbacks in the segment.
