Plus, don’t forget the Tripper navigation pod
  • The new Classic 350 will use the same 349cc counterbalanced thumper as the Meteor 350.
  • Its foundations will be significantly better than the current UCE model.
  • It was expected to go on sale by May but COVID-19 might have disrupted certain plans.
  • (Update: The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been launched in India. Head here to read the launch story.)

We have already seen a lot of the upcoming J-platform Royal Enfield Classic 350. We know that it is going to use the new-gen thumper from the Meteor 350, the double-cradle frame is also going to be the same and the Tripper navigational module is going to be a standard fitment. While we had spotted the console earlier, this time round we have all of the details that the small digital inset will be relaying.

As is evident, the large analogue speedo has both kmph and mph speed readings, suggesting its export intent. The small LCD digital screen below has a bar-type fuel gauge (Yay!), two tripmeters, low fuel range indicator, and a fuel efficiency readout. Plus, the trademark Tripper pod is there too.

What’s interesting is that the Classic 350 is set to arrive in a green shade, similar to the British Racing Green on the latest iteration of the Continental GT 650. Let’s hope it too gets some exquisite hand-painted pinstripes, a standout element of the Classic 350.

Expectations are running high from the Classic 350. The new 349cc motor packs a soulful riding experience. It isn’t too powerful but it can sustain 100-110kmph with barely any vibrations. We have been smitten by this motor and you can read more about it in our long-term report of the Meteor 350.
