Spy shots of the Hero Xtreme 160R have emerged on the internet, just days after the company launched the Stealth Edition 2.0. The picture doesn’t reveal much, but from what we can make out, there aren’t going to be substantial changes.
The upcoming 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R was seen sporting a new indicator and horn switch, though the right switchgear looks identical to the current model. It is also likely that some updates from the Stealth 2.0 Edition like the bigger belly pan and Bluetooth connectivity could be passed down to the standard model, just like what we saw on the previous year’s Stealth Edition, and the 2022 Xtreme 160R.
Will there be any changes to the engine? It is hard to speculate on that now. For reference, the Hero Xtreme 160R uses a 163cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine making 15.2PS and 14Nm. Going by the spy shot, it even seems to pack the same suspension and braking setup too.
The 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R could come with a slight price bump over the current model, which is pegged at Rs 1,18,616 onwards (ex-showroom Delhi). That said, with the Bajaj Pulsar N160 outperforming Hero’s naked, we hope the new Xtreme packs more performance too.
