This is your first clearest look of the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift ahead of its launch next year. And apart from its extensive design changes, Hyundai will be giving the model plenty of new feature additions, especially in the safety department. This will be the first major overhaul for the second-gen Creta, which has been on sale since 2020.
As reported earlier, the Creta’s design changes for its facelift are exclusive to the Indian market. We can discern a new set of LED DRLs and headlights that look more boxier than before. The slatted grille also seems to have more gaping inserts as well, making it look beefier.
In profile, don’t expect major changes to the sheet metal and silhouette, but new alloys on the final production-spec model should be present. And at the rear, the Creta now features a new set of split-LED tail lamps with Audi-like dynamic turn indicators.

The dashboard design of the facelifted Creta was draped under camouflage, so we can’t discern what are the design changes. But what we can definitely say is the amount of features the new model will get. This includes USB Type-C chargers for rear seat occupants, 360-degree camera, and ADAS (hinted by the radar on the bumper). Apart from that, we suspect top models to get the fully digital 10.25-inch driver’s display from the Seltos.
Bits such as automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry with push button start and the wireless phone charger should be carried forward. As for safety, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Hyundai could take this facelift as an opportunity to introduce the more powerful 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine in the Creta after the 1.4-litre unit was discontinued. Like the Verna, it should be teamed with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT.
The existing 1.5-litre diesel and naturally aspirated petrol engines should be carried forward as is.
Considering the number of updates, we suspect the Creta to command a notable premium over the current model that’s priced at Rs 10.87 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor.
