Tata Motors is extensively testing the sportier Altroz Racer ahead of its launch next month. Earlier, we exclusively got our hands on an undisguised test mule, showcasing its exterior design, and now we have got images of the Hyundai i20 N Line’s rival interior. Let's delve into what we can decipher from the latest spy images.
Though not clear, the image provides a glimpse of the Altroz Racer’s all-black interior with orange highlights surrounding the AC vents. We also get to see its floating infotainment system, which is a 10.25-inch unit found in the Nexon. More splashes of orange will also be found on the central console, ambient lighting and orange stitching on the steering wheel.
Apart from the 10.25-inch touchscreen, the Altroz Racer will come equipped with new features such as wireless Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto connectivity, digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, six airbags and a 360-degree camera system. Other safety features should include ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and parking sensors.

The previously showcased model at the Bharat Mobility Expo provided a comprehensive view of its design, featuring a dual-tone exterior shade, sporty decals, and blacked-out alloy wheels. This spied test mule also shows the presence of dual exhaust tips to denote its sportier character. You can explore the Altroz Racer's design in our image gallery here.
The Altroz Racer will be available with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Nexon producing 120 PS/170 Nm, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission option is also expected to be offered. Also, it remains to be seen if it will get tweaks for its underpinnings for better handling
Prices for the Altroz Racer are likely to start from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched it will rival the likes of the Hyundai i20 N Line, while being a sportier alternative to the Altroz turbo, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza.
