Revised lighting, new alloy wheels and a new front grille mesh will likely comprise the styling updates.
Aside from updated fabrics inside, the 2022 XL6 should also get the 2022 Baleno’s 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ infotainment system.
To be powered by Maruti’s revised 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and a new 6-speed torque converter gearbox option.
Expect a price premium over the current model that is priced from Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
To continue rivalry with the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo, Kia Carens, and the upcoming facelifted Maruti Ertiga.
Just a mere four days after Maruti Suzuki teased the facelifted Ertiga MPV, the carmaker dropped its first teaser for its NEXA counterpart, the XL6, ahead of its launch on April 21. What’s more, the carmaker has officially begun accepting bookings for Rs 11,000 on its website as well as at authorised NEXA dealerships.
While the teaser video barely showcases the updated MPV, it should feature a relatively light midlife refresh like the 2022 Ertiga. By that we mean a new front grille mesh, as well as tweaked headlights and taillights. Earlier spy images also revealed a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels for the 2022 XL6.
Considering how minor the exterior changes are, the cabin will also likely remain largely unchanged aside from a revised upholstery and new interior shades. As for features, the 2022 Ertiga is confirmed to get Maruti’s new 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ infotainment system from the 2022 Baleno that has a revised UI and connected car tech (telematics only), so the updated XL6 should also get it. We could also expect a 360-degree camera and a six-airbag setup like the 2022 Baleno. That aside, most of the current model’s features list, including auto AC and cruise control, should be retained.
Under the hood, the 2022 XL6 will be getting Maruti’s revised 1.5-litre petrol engine with Dual VVT, (dubbed DualJet) and mild-hybrid tech. A 5-speed manual transmission should continue as standard, with the 4-speed AT being replaced by a 6-speed torque converter automatic like the 2022 Ertiga.

Expect Maruti Suzuki to retail the facelifted XL6 MPV at a premium over the current model that is priced from Rs 10.14 lakh to Rs 12.02 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It will rekindle its rivalry with the Mahindra Marazzo, Kia Carens, and the soon-to-be-launched facelifted Ertiga.
