Citroen’s next big launch for the Indian market will be its upcoming Creta rival, the C3 Aircross. The upcoming SUV, which will be a 3-row offering, is slated for a global debut on April 27. And with only two days to go for its unveiling, the C3 Aircross has been spotted undisguised, revealing certain details. So without further ado, let's get cracking.

Starting with the exterior design, the C3 Aircross’s fascia is similar to the hatch it’s based on, the C3. However, with the Aircross being an SUV and having a larger fascia, it has a larger grille that flanks the split headlamps. Below it is the minimalist-styled bumper with round fog lamps and airdams. It rolls on alloy wheels featuring a dualtone finish with four split-spokes design.

On the inside, the dashboard design and layout is almost identical to the C3 hatchback, with a floating 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. But there are some new details. For instance, the digital driver’s display has been overhauled with a new screen featuring a tachometer.

This being a larger model also gets rear AC vents with blower adjustment for better cooling for middle and last-row occupants. Speaking of the last row, a spy picture gives us an insight on how the legroom is; and based on that, we can say it’s a bit tight.

Engine options are yet to be revealed. But we suspect it will get the C3’s 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine putting out possibly more power, around the 130PS mark. The 6-speed manual should be carried forward, which could be joined alongside an automatic transmission. A pure electric version could join the lineup as well.

Post its global debut, we suspect the C3 Aircross to go on sale soon. Prices are likely to start around the Rs 9-lakh mark, and it will be a 7-seater alternative to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Renault Triber, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
