Spy shots of the facelifted Kia Seltos have surfaced online yet again. And the latest images show how the SUV looks in its sportier top-spec GT Line guise. This will be the first major midlife update for Kia’s compact SUV in India ever since it went on sale back in 2019. So without further ado, let’s see what all is expected to change in the upcoming model.

Even though the SUV is draped in heavy camouflage, we can still see a fair amount of design changes. The SUV gets a redesigned grille, flanked by redesigned LED headlamps with a new DRL insignia. Below that are the restyled bumpers which seem to house the module for the ADAS suite (more on that later).

In profile, this particular test mule seems to be running on the current Seltos X-Line’s alloys, but that’s likely to change for the final model. And at the rear-end, we can spot the new LED tail lamps, which are curvier and should be connected by a LED strip, similar to the international model. This, being the GT Line trim, also gets plenty of red splashes for a sportier look.

The interior of the India-spec model is yet to be seen, but it should get the revised dashboard with the dual 10.25-inch screens for the driver’s display and infotainment a la the overseas model. It could also pack additional features such as a panoramic sunroof and probably heated seats from the 2023 Verna

But the biggest talking point could be the fact that the Seltos is likely to be the first mass-produced Kia car in India to get ADAS. Its suite should largely be similar to the Verna 2023, which gets adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring.

Underneath the hood, the Seltos should carry forward its 115PS 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options from the current car. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit is currently deleted from the lineup, but the Hyundai Group’s more powerful 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is reserved and expected to debut in the facelifted model.

Prices of the facelifted Kia Seltos are probably expected to be announced by  mid-2023. We expect the model to command a minor premium over the current Seltos that starts from Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and the like.
