We’ve spotted the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650! Yes, the bike’s already been launched, but this time around we saw a bagger version of Royal Enfield’s flagship cruiser, something that could either be a new variant of the bike or the panniers could be offered as an accessory. Interestingly, such panniers were unveiled at Rider Mania 2022 as a part of the brand’s wide range of accessories.
The bagger-style panniers are likely to be removable and lockable. And more importantly, their shape and size are in proper cohesion with the Super Meteor 650’s rear fender, making it look quite clean. Their placement is clear from the exhaust layout, meaning the panniers should be equal in capacity.
Baggers are a good mix of style and practicality so ideally these panniers should make the Super Meteor 650 more stylish and a better tourer. And no, this variant will not have rearseat footpegs. It’s the rider who has kept his feet on the pillion footpegs.

For a lot of people, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650’s launch seemed to somewhat fill the gap left by the discontinued Harley-Davidson Street 750: a (relatively) small capacity , twin-cylinder authentic cruiser. To top it off, the Super Meteor 650 looks a lot more premium and is well priced too. And now with these accessories, Royal Enfield might want to go a step further and give the cruiser a bagger look.
All in all, these bagger-style panniers could debut sometime later this year. Now, Royal Enfield had revealed the prices for its panniers at the unveiling event in 2022 and they were Rs 13,500. But given that they’re currently not listed on the brand’s official website, they could still be undergoing the testing phase. We, hence, expect them to be priced in the same ballpark when officially launched. So those looking for an authentic bagger will finally have options apart from the eye-wateringly priced Harley-Davidson and Indian bikes of the world.
