The Mahindra XUV 3XO, which is essentially the facelifted version of the XUV300 sub-compact SUV is priced from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Its bookings will open on May 15 with deliveries to commence from May 26. The Mahindra 3XO is available in 9 broad variants: MX1, MX2, MX2 Pro, MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX5 L, AX7 and AX7 L. Let’s take a look at each of these variants and what features it offers:
Engine: 1.2-litre turbo-petrol
Price: Rs 7.49 lakh
The base-spec MX1 variant offers these features:

Being a base variant, it gets the basic design elements and misses out on an infotainment system which the one-above base variant gets. That being said, it is still well-equipped in terms of convenience and safety kit. The base variant is only powered by the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

A noteworthy addition is the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with additional comfort features. From this variant onwards, you get the option of a 1.5-litre diesel engine.

The MX2 Pro variant is based on the MX2 variant, however, it additionally gets a single-pane sunroof. This variant is also an entry point to the automatic variants, equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission which is paired with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine.

With the MX3 variant, you get an improved infotainment system and a couple of added features for comfort and convenience. It is powered by either a turbo-petrol or a diesel engine. A 6-speed AMT is offered with the diesel engine.

The MX3 Pro offers an updated exterior over the MX3 variant with an LED projector headlights and LED DRLs. However, it misses out on alloys and gets the stylised steel wheels. You get turbo-petrol and diesel engine options to choose from, but the diesel here is only paired with a manual transmission.

From the AX5 variant onwards, the XUV 3XO feels more upmarket in terms of design and the feature list. The notable feature in this variant is the dual-zone climate control. This variant offers both, the turbo-petrol and a diesel engine. You get a manual transmission with both engines, automatic transmission for petrol and AMT for diesel.

Over the AX5 variant, the AX5L offers:

The AX5L does not improve much in terms of the comfort features, but it gets a massive upgrade in terms of safety with features like a level-2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera. This variant is also an entry point to the more powerful 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol engine and paired with either a manual or an automatic transmission. It is not offered with any other engine options.

The standout feature here is the segment-first panoramic sunroof and 65W type-C fast charging which is capable of charging a laptop device as well. Even though it is placed above the AX5 L variant, it does not get ADAS as it is only reserved for the “L” variants. It comes with both TGDi turbo-petrol and diesel engine options, and both engines get the option of a manual and automatic transmission (AMT for diesel).

The top-end AX7 L variant gets the safety features like the level-2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera over the AX7 variant. It is available with both TGDi turbo-petrol and diesel engine options, but the diesel engine only gets a manual transmission.
Note: Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and built-in Alexa will be added later through over-the-air (OTA) updates.
