Ola Roadster X: Features Explained

Ola Electric has launched the Roadster X in India. The bike is available in three variants: 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh and 4.5kWh. Let’s look at all the differences between the three variants.
The Ola Roadster X 2.5kWh variant is priced at Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom, introductory). As the name suggests, it gets a 2.5kWh battery pack which returns a claimed range of 140km on a full state of charge. The battery is paired to a 7kW mid-mounted motor which delivers a peak power of 7kW. It allows the bike to do the 0-40kmph sprint in 3.4 seconds and has a claimed top-speed of 105kmph. It gets a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. Braking is handled by a drum brake at both ends with single-channel ABS. The bike rides on a 18-inch front and a 17-inch rear alloy wheel, and has a ground clearance of 180mm.
In terms of features, the motorcycle comes with a 4.3-inch LCD instrument cluster with three riding modes: Eco, Normal and Sports. The LCD console is smartphone compatible via the Ola Electric app and allows for turn-by-turn navigation, ride telemetrics, geo fencing, anti-theft alerts, tyre pressure monitoring alerts and over-the-air updates (OTA). For added convenience, the bike gets a dedicated reverse mode, brake-by-wire, a USB charging port, traction control and all-LED lighting.
The Ola Roadster X 3.5kWh is the mid-spec variant which is priced at 84,999 (ex-showroom, introductory). The bike is powered by a 3.5kWh battery pack which has a claimed range of 196km on a full charge. Paired with a 7kW motor, it does the 0-40kmph sprint in 3.1 seconds and has a claimed top-speed of 118kmph.
Apart from these differences, the bike remains the same as the 2.5kWh variant. It shares the same underpinnings and set of features.
The Roadster X 4.5kWh is priced at Rs 94,999 (ex-showroom, introductory) is the top-spec variant of the Roadster X electric motorcycle. The bike gets a 4.5kWh battery pack which has a claimed range of 252km on a full charge. It gets the same 7kWh motor and does the 0-40kmph sprint in 3.1 seconds. The bike has a claimed top-speed of 118kmph as well. In terms of underpinnings and features, this variant gets the same hardware as the other two variants.
