Comes in two variants and has a major difference between them

Royal Enfield launched the Scram 440 in India. It is a scrambler which replaces the Scram 411 in Royal Enfield's lineup. With a larger engine capacity, the bike makes more power and torque than the motorcycle it replaces. The Scram 440 gets new features and is available in two variants: Trail and Force with a major difference between them.

Royal Enfield Scram 440 Trail Variant

The Royal Enfield Scram 440 Trail is the lower variant and is priced at Rs 2,08,000 (ex-showroom, Chennai). This variant is available in two colour schemes: Trail Blue and Trail Green. The motorcycle rides on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheels with dual-purpose tubed tyres.

Royal Enfield Scram 440 Force Variant

The Scram 440 Force is the higher variant of the two. It comes at a price tag of Rs 2,15,000 (ex-showroom, Chennai). The higher variant comes in three paint schemes: Force Blue, Force Grey and Force Teal. It replaces spoke wheels for tubeless alloys which makes it easy to  repair punctures.

About Scram 440

The motorcycle is an evolved version of the Scram 411 but shares the same overall design and gets a 440cc bored out engine which makes 25.4PS and 34Nm, which is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The addition of a 6th gear brings forth changes to its performance.    Royal Enfield claims the new Scram 440 will have an improved braking performance thanks to updated braking hardware.  In terms of features, the Scram 440 gets a new LED headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster and switchable rear ABS.

Rivals

The Royal Enfield now goes against the Yezdi Scrambler and the Triumph Scrambler 400X in India. One can also consider the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 as a more expensive option.

ZigSays

With a price difference of Rs 7,000 between them, there’s hardly any difference in the two variants of the 2025 Royal Enfield Scram 440. They only differ in colours and the option of having either spoke or alloy wheels. Our choice would be the Force variant as it gets the option of choosing from three colour schemes and comes with alloy wheels which makes repairing punctures hasslefree.
