Q. When is the Micra active xv sp launch and how is it different from Micra xv cvt?
  • Doesn't matter. They are all scrap after 3years of usage.
Q. Is the service cost of Nissan Micra low or high? Are the parts of the car easily available in the market?
  • Service cost is decent. Don’t expect service cost of maruti, but they do a good job. Initial 4-5 years we have gotten anywhere from 5-10k, and next 5 years we have gotten minimum of 14k to 22k. The problem is that: 1. Labor cost is way too high. 2. Parts are of good quality, hence price is high. So parts don’t fail easily(just like Honda).3. Nissan does service based on Years and not Km(whichever is first method). So the issue is that, even though my car has only run 50k(over 10 years), they will change all unnecessary parts that have to be changed when vehicle is 10 years/1,50,000. The only advantage that comes from it is, reliability of the vehicle is top notch even today.
  • Service cost is not so high. It is affordable.But parts are very difficult to find even in show rooms it takes days to provide parts.

Q. What is actual mileage of Active XV petrol in city traffic n in highways and how about the maintenance?
  • In city it gives 14-15 kmpl in both cases - traffic and free roads in city.It goes upto 18 on highways. Maintainance is pretty good compared to other cars from the same segment. I usually pay 5-7 k but the service intervals are 10,000km. which is the most recommended.
  • Between 11-13. My drive is both highway & city (I live in suburbs). The mileage I am getting is 13.6kmph. Maintenance is way too costly. I have paid as low as 4.5k (when Service tax existed) to max 19.5k in one servicing.
  • My Micra Active XVS gives mileage of about 15 kmpl in city traffic and upto 21.5 kmpl in highways.

    Good experience

    Overall good experience. Good things 1. Built quality better than waganr, 2. Comfortable on highway and city, 3. Wider, longer than wagon r, 4. Eye catching looks, premium car, 5. mileage city 17.5 and highway 18.5. Bad thing 1. Low ground clearance 2. Gear is little bit harder than wagon r. 3. Service cost is high.

    Nice budget car with safety.But the cost of maintenance is too high at show-room.Milage is exactly as per company expectation.
