Rynox has been known for making really good riding gear within an affordable price range and that surely appeals to riders on a budget. Every rider needs an adventure-riding jacket in their wardrobe as they offer a good mix of style, functionality, and comfort. Considering that they are larger than street-riding jackets, they are usually on the more expensive side but this one is priced at just Rs 9,850, which seems like great value for money. We put it to the test to bring you a detailed review.
The Rynox Stealth Air Pro is a good-looking jacket with a minimalist design. It is available in a bunch of color schemes and what we have for this review is the bright Green/Blue scheme. The jacket’s silhouette is sleek and easily fits my slim frame. It should look great on cruisers and ADVs.
The Stealth Air Pro is available in sizes ranging from Small up to 5XL. It gets adjustable straps on the waist, cuffs, and arms allowing a customizable fit. This ensures that the jacket sits snugly without feeling restrictive. The collar is padded and lined with a soft fabric to prevent chafing during long rides, and the pre-curved arms enhance comfort when in a riding position. For Indian summers, the mesh panels help keep a rider cool, making it a great choice for long rides or city commuting in hot weather.
There are large mesh panels on the front, back, and arms for airflow, making the hot summers tolerable. There is also an additional removable thermal liner for colder days and a waterproof rain liner, making this jacket suitable for colder weather as well. I even got a chance to use this jacket over a week while riding through Ladakh and it was surely impressive with how it held up in different conditions. Additionally, there are reflective panels integrated into the design, which enhances visibility while riding at night.
The jacket is equipped with CE Level 2 armor for the shoulders, elbows, back, and chest. The protection is well-placed and doesn’t feel bulky, ensuring that a rider's mobility is not restricted. The abrasion-resistant outer shell is said to provide an added layer of protection in case of a fall, with reinforced panels in high-impact areas.
This jacket has multiple pockets for storage including two external hand pockets, an internal document pocket, and a mobile pocket, which is more than ample storage for on-the-go items. There’s also a pocket on the lower back, which makes it convenient to store liners when not in use.
The Rynox Stealth Air Pro has proved to be a great all-rounder in my time spent with it. It is a jacket that I have used in all types of weather and it has held up well. From the unpredictable temperatures of Ladakh to the crazy heat waves in Pune, I could wear it without any worries. Rynox has surely come a long way and has addressed many of the issues that customers faced with their older jackets. This one is way more comfortable, ventilated, and has a good fit, making it a versatile offering.
Priced just under Rs 10,000, it is affordable when you consider the price of other adventure-riding jackets. It also gets back and chest protectors as standard which is what further increases its value as there are many other jackets from more premium brands where the back and chest protectors have to be purchased separately.
