Royal Enfield Himalayan 650

The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 650 has been spotted testing in Europe and it packs in some surprises.

The upcoming twin-cylinder Himalayan could be powered by a 648cc, air-/oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine found in the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. As seen on the spy images, the suspension setup consists of an inverted fork and a monoshock (both likely to be adjustable) while braking duties will be taken care of by dual disc brakes at the front and a single rear disc brake. The motorcycle has been spied rolling on an 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheels. Though, these look like the tubed-spoke wheels, not tubeless. The smaller 19-inch front wheel indicates that the bigger twin-cylinder Himalayan will be a more road-focused motorcycle unlike the Himalayan 450 which gets a 21-inch front wheel.

The ADV gets a fairing attached to the fuel tank, a big windscreen and brand-new horizontal digital display unit which should come with Bluetooth connectivity and Google Maps navigation. The rear section of the bike along with the split-seat setup looks similar to that of its 450cc sibling. The exhaust is a two to one setup and pretty upswept.

The Himalayan 650 is expected to be launched by the end of 2025 and the price is likely to be Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure S, Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Moto Morini X-Cape 650.
