Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric

Royal Enfield’s parent company, Eicher Motors' latest post-earnings call has given us more information about the manufacturer’s plan with the upcoming Himalayan electric bike. It was also showcased at the EICMA 2023.

The Himalayan Electric's design doesn't stray away from the Royal Enfield Himalayan or the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and it still looks lean and rugged with a retro touch to it. Underpinnings on the Himalayan Electric include a golden USD fork along with an Ohlins gas-charged monoshock. Both units are likely to be adjustable. Braking, meanwhile, is taken care of by discs at both ends and the SM Pro Platinum spoke wheels seem to be a 21-/17-inch combination.

These things said the Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric is still a concept as of now. It’s a platform for Royal Enfield to base their future EVs on, so an actual launch will still be several years away. In fact, Royal Enfield could very well launch the Classic electric bike before the Himalayan electric bike.
