Skoda Kylaq

Features: The Skoda Kylaq is loaded with features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, projector LED headlights with LED DRL light signature, LED fog lights with cornering function, cruise control, 8-inch digital driver’s display and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 6-way powered and ventilated front seats, USB Type-C ports, wireless phone charging, paddle shifters, cooled glovebox and an electric sunroof. Additional features include auto-dimming IRVM, ambient lighting and connected car tech. The Skoda Kylaq is equipped with 25+ safety features across variants which include 6 airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP), multi-collision braking, ABS with EBD, and brake disc wiping. Other safety features include hill hold control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a rear parking camera.

Engine: The Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. It measures 3995 mm in length, 1783 mm in width and 1619 mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2566 mm and has an unladed ground clearance of 189 mm. The Skoda Kylaq has a bootspace of 446 litre which can be expanded to 1265 mm if the rear seats are folded.

Rivals: The Skoda Kylaq competes with other popular sub-compact SUVs such as the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

Variants: The Skoda Kylaq is offered in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige, with each variant available in seven colour options including Olive Gold, Lava Blue, Tornado Red and more.

Skoda has commenced production of the sub-four metre Kylaq at its Chakan plant in Maharashtra. In other news, the brand has announced that the Kylaq has received 10,000 bookings within 10 days of its bookings commencement date. It is to be noted that the SUV will start arriving at the dealerships across the country from 27 January, 2025, while the deliveries will commence by March 2025. The Kylaq comes in 4 variants: Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige across 7 colour options. It has been priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering the SUV is a 1-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that makes 115 PS and 178 Nm. It is coupled to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
