Tiger Sport 660 Key Highlights
Design: Unlike its elder sibling, the 850 Sport, which carries forward the same design language as the Tiger 900, the Tiger Sport 660 looks like a sport bike on stilts. Its face is quite reminiscent of the old Daytona 675 and features a split LED headlight setup. The half fairing is designed to integrate neatly into the large 17-litre fuel tank. It gets quite a large, height-adjustable windshield. And one can easily spot the similarities with the Tiger Sport 660’s and Trident 660’s tail unit.
Features: All-LED illumination is standard with a full-digital console present on the Tiger Sport 660. It uses the same top LCD-bottom TFT screen setup from the Trident but the housing is more conventional and not round. The screen is compatible with the MyTriumph bluetooth connectivity module, allowing you to connect your smartphone and GoPro to the bike. You also get the same basic set of rider aids that the Trident gets with the bi-directional quickshifter arriving as an accessory.
Engine: Powering the Tiger Sport 660 is the 660cc triple heart from the Trident 660. No change to the output or the engine tune as it continues to make 81PS and 64Nm. No revisions to the six-speed gearbox as well. On offer are two riding modes -- Rain and Road -- with dedicated throttle maps, traction control settings and ABS intervention levels, allowing you to harness the potential of the triple engine well. The Tiger Sport 660 is built on the same tubular steel perimeter frame as the Trident with small tweaks to the rider’s triangle and a new subframe. Even the swingarm is larger here as it has to hustle a bit more weight than the naked. The Showa suspension components have a bit more travel than the naked, which should make them more supple and favourable for our road conditions. It still uses the same 17-inch alloy wheels, grippy Michelin Road 5 tyres and simple but potent Nissin braking hardware.
Rivals: When launched in India (expected by Feb 2022), the Tiger Sport 660 will go toe-to-toe with the Kawasaki Versys 650. The Kwacker is expected to be more affordable than the Brit bike but neither does it have the performance nor the sophistication to match the Triumph.

Questions & Answers on Tiger Sport 660
Answered by Zigwheels Expert- It would be unfair to give a verdict here as Triumph Tiger Sport 660 hasn't launched yet. So we would suggest you wait for the bike to get launched for a fruitful comparison. Stay tuned for further updates. Follow the link to get an alert when Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is launched. On the other hand, the Trident delivers better on the sort of performance you’d expect from a “big bike” and this, in our books, makes it better value-for-money. The premium is well justified for the thrills you experience, courtesy of the 660cc triple engine. It handles well, and like a patient teacher, builds you up nicely for larger capacity motorcycles that you’d most likely upgrade to after a few years.
