Design: The M 1000 RR sports the same design as that of the S 1000 RR. However, it gets aerodynamic carbon winglets and carbon wheels for weight reduction. It’s available in three colours: Light White, Racing Blue Metallic, and Racing Red.
Features: The BMW M 1000 RR gets a 6.5-inch TFT screen. The ‘Competition’ trim gets a GPS-based lap timer, passenger kit, rear seat cowl, carbon Pack (Carbon front and rear mudguard, carbon upper fairing, side panel, carbon tank cover, carbon chain guard, carbon sprocket cover), M BilletPack (Engine Protectors, brake lever folding, brake lever guard, foldable clutch lever, M rider footrest system), and an anti-theft alarm.
Engine: The M 1000 RR is based on the S 1000 RR but with some tweaks to the engine. It’s powered by a 999cc liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder motor with variable camshaft control and makes a blistering 214PS of power at 14,500rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. It’s mated to a 6-speed gearbox. BMW has equipped the M 1000 RR with seven riding modes: Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, Race Pro 1, Race Pro 2, and Race Pro 3. The last three are more suitable for track usage, allowing the rider to customise the throttle response, engine braking, traction control, and wheelie control. Moreover, the M 1000 RR also gets launch control, pit-lane limiter, hill-start control, shift pro assist, heated grips, and cruise control.
