The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 packs a host of performance and feature updates that have really gone a long way in increasing the appeal and value proposition of the motorcycle. In this video, we have put it through a real world test, checking it’s performance, braking, city and highway mileage as well as touring ability. And we’ve also compared some of these aspects of the Dominar to its more expensive rivals, namely the KTM 390 Duke and the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 Price & Variants: The bike is available in only one variant and is priced at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 Specs and Features: Powering the Dominar is a 373cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine that now gets a DOHC setup and hence makes 40PS @ 8650rpm and 35Nm @ 7000rpm. It now also two kilos heavier and weighs 184kg. The bike sports LED lighting all around, including a rather powerful LED headlight. It gets a 13-litre fuel tank. Braking comes from a single 320mm front with a radial caliper and a 230mm disc at the rear.
2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 Colours: It is available in two colour options, green and matte black.
2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 Performance & Features: With more power on tap, the bike now does zero to 100kmph in 7.38 seconds, and can accelerate from 40kmph to 80kmph in 4th gear in 4.70 seconds. It brakes from 80kmph to zero in 31.36 metres. It also manages a fuel efficiency figure of 25.29kmph in the city and 32.39 kmpl on the highway.
