- G30 BMW 5 Series gets a global facelift with mild cosmetic updates
- All 4- and 6-cylinder models get a 48V mild hybrid system that offers an 11PS power boost
- Android auto added to smartphone integration package
The BMW 5 Series has just received a mid life facelift. With its refresh, the 5 Series gets more aggressive styling, new headlamps, new tail lamps, a new front grille and revised bumpers. The interior packaging remains largely identical. However, it now gets the benefit of a 12.3 inch optional infotainment screen and Android Auto offered as standard with the smartphone integration package. The 7th gen BMW OS also enables the inclusion of the BMW Drive Recorder that uses the surround view camera as a dash cam.
The engine options of the current model are likely to be carried forward even with the facelift i.e 2.0 litre petrol and diesel engines, along with the option of a 3.0 litre, 6-cylinder diesel.
