CB300R Key Highlights
Price: The Honda CB300R BS6 is priced at Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), and is available in two colours: Matte Steel Black & Pearl Spartan Red.
Design: The overall neo-retro design of the BS6 Honda CB300R has remained largely unchanged -- it flaunts a circular headlight and a sleek tail lamp. That said, subtle touches like the golden finish for the USD fork and stealthier-looking grey side panels make the package seem more premium.
Features: Feature-wise, the BS6 Honda CB300R gets a negative LCD instrument cluster (with a speedometer, odometer, fuel level readout, temperature and time), a USD fork, a slipper clutch, and dual-channel ABS. All these are retained from the outgoing model.
Engine: The latest iteration of the Honda CB300R has been updated with a greener, BS6-compliant 286cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor. With the update, the bike now makes 31.1PS and 27.5Nm, while also benefiting from a slip-assist clutch. The motor continues to be housed in the same trellis frame sprung on a Showa 41mm USD fork and a rear monoshock. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloys, clamped by single disc brakes front and rear.
Rivals: The Honda CB300R locks horns with the KTM 390 Duke and BMW G 310 R. Another touring-friendly alternative would be the Bajaj Dominar 400.

- Currently, the Honda CB300R is not available for sale in the market and is yet to get a BS6 update. On the other hand, BMW has managed to iron out the majority of the issues that stopped us from wholeheartedly recommending the Bavarian naked. It is a delight to ride in the twisties with enough power on tap to thrill you. It is also more affordable now, which bodes well for its positioning in the market. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

- I own a cb300r. Realistically speaking, you can cruise comfortable at 100-120kmph and get a mileage of 32. What more can you ask from a bike? I'm loving the refinement and the effort Honda has gone through to give the rider such a responsive bike. You can buy this with your eyes closed
