The compact SUV from the Land Rover stable, the Freelander 2 fills a niche in the 4x4 lifestyle SUV segment. Its compact nature has made it a great city vehicle and thanks to its dimensions it is rather convenient to drive around town. Should the need to go off roading arise, the Freelander 2 is quite capable at that as well, unlike other soft roaders that just boast of SUV looks but don’t have the goods to deliver. The locally built Freelander 2 doesn’t look radically different from its predecessor and features subtle updates to the exterior though the insides sport more serious changes.
