Mercedes-Benz EQS

Features: The Mercedes-Benz EQS packs features like the 3-screen MBUX Hyperscreen unit, which comprises a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a similarly sized screen for the passenger and a 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen. Other features include a Burmester 3D sound system, heads-up display, rear axle steering and ambient lighting. On the safety front, it gets nine airbags, electronic stability control, and a bunch of ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) and other active safety features including auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and autonomous parking.

Motor: The electric sedan’s AMG 53 4Matic+ and EQS 580 4Matic variants are equipped with a dual electric motor setup paired with a 107.8kWh battery pack, which has a maximum charging capacity of 200kW. The 580 4Matic trim gets a 523PS/855Nm electric motor. This setup has a WLTP-claimed range of 857km. The AMG-spec variant comes with the Dynamic Plus pack as standard for India, which produces 761PS/1020Nm. It has a claimed range of 586km with a 0-100kmph sprint time of 3.4 seconds. The fast-charging compatible battery can be juiced up from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes using a 200kW charger. A 22kW wallbox AC charger is offered as standard. The EQS sedan measures 5216mm in length, 2125mm in width, and 1512mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 3210mm.

Range: The electric sedan offers a claimed range of up to 580km (AMG 53 4Matic+) and up to 693km (580 4Matic).

Variants: The EQS can be had in two trims: EQS 580 4Matic and EQS AMG 53 4Matic+. The latter is a CBU import, while the 580 4Matic trim is locally manufactured.
