• Q. I am planning to buy Gixxer 250 but i am concerned about the oil cooled technology. I will buy this for touring and in one stretch we mostly go around 200-250 km. So , does it have any engine heating issue and any other bike suggestion?

Gixxer SF 250 is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine which makes 26.5PS of power and 22.2Nm (0.4Nm down), mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The acceleration is quite linear and the motor feels comfortable when pulling from pretty much any rpm. One of the key reasons for Suzuki to develop this new engine without using any liquid cooling was to keep not just its complexity, but also its weight down. This 250cc bike weighs just 161kg, making it one of the lightest in its class. Moreover, we haven't encountered any over heating issues as of now. As for touring, the bike offers a comfortable seating position and a comfortable seat. Overall, the SF 250 is a solid and competent bike on the highway, as long as you’re not expecting to maintain very high speeds continuously. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
