If that is the fuel efficiency returned in city traffic conditions, then there is little to improve as 28~29 is the best that guys seems to have achieved in city and that too with early morning traffic. To improve fuel efficiency, just keep the RPM of your Duke250 between 5000 and 6000. This will ensure that your bike is optimally geared and is in a reasonable power band. Avoid using clutch unnecessarily - do not use half clutch to pull the vehicle at higher gears. Avoid hard braking andor acceleration. Adopt a smooth riding style and adjust throttle inputs to reduce unwanted braking. Do not perform wheelies or stunts. Maintain steady speeds where vehicle is around 6000RPM (approx 100kmph), on highways. I get around 34kmpl on highways using this technique. All these would help us optimize the fuel efficiency of Duke250. Have a happy and safe riding!

Ride well. Don't give pressure to your bike. Be gentle. Don't rush while accelerating.
