• Q. Is the engine of Jawa is same as Mahindra Mojo I am very much confused on this. Some says that Jawa is using Mahindra Mojo engine because Jawa is now being owned by Mahindra, while others say that its totally different from Mojo and Jawa itself is producing the engine.

I own jawa 42 and let me tell you.. These bikes are looking promising and its a super huge success, I don't know why people say underwhelming statements regarding jawa marketing but being a jawa owner and the response I get from people this bike is beautiful and touches their heart strings. This bike is becoming common in my city. The MAJOR reason I bought this bike is because of the mojo engine! I don't like bajaj's quality (which isn't bad BTW, its just that I have had bad experiences with Bajaj) so I did not get a dominar (although it was on my list to buy). Mojo is of much superior quality to dominar and its a competition between quality and power so I went with quality. 5 months spent and I am super happy with my Jawa.

Let me clear the confusion. The Mahindra Mojo is an excellent bike which has Italian design roots. Although perfected by Mahindra engineers this project did not get the sales numbers it truly deserved. So instead of letting all this faboulous engineering go to waste, Mahindra set about getting it a new set of retro styled clothes which had a Goodwill with the Indian masses. Hence a subsidiary was born and the old Jawa was reincarnated with a non polluting engine. So everyone is happy. Good bike overall. You can't go wrong with this one.

Sir, MOJO was a big flop that everyone knows. Mahindra two wheelers have failed miserably. I know my friend who ran helter-skelter to sell his mahindra bike since no one was there to buy it for seconds even at 10%price. Manufacturing two stroke and four stroke engines are entirely different. I doubt jawa can ever succeed in this venture.. I still feel that too much has been hyped and people are trapped.. On road performance can only prove it's success. Till then my advice would be to be patient..
