    Normally the choice would depend on the kind or riding you do. If it is just a few kms a day single seat than it really wont matter. However if your ride is a minimum 20+ kms nonstop minimum twice a day that you would need to think of a sturdier bike. Besides if you would travel double seats you need to consider if the other person would be able to sit comfortably along with you.
