Both the bikes are good, but the RE TB 350X is well equipped, if you want to feel the thump definately RE would be an option. Taking about the comfort i personally felt RE better than avenger. Top speed on RE is approx 110 but you feel the vibrations as this is not a high speed bike. Service cost on RE will cost you approx 2-2.5k while on avenger will cost you little less. Another option can be dominor 400 which is feature loaded with ABS,slipper clutch and wide tyres. The bike is torque, handling is good though it has big turning radius. Confort wise its good not as great as RE also the fuel tank capacity is less as that on 20lts on TB 350.

RE Thunderbird as you want to tour it for 1000km+ also as commuter it is better as it has less wheelbase which in turn makes the bike quite flickable in traffic and also the turning radius is less on TB. Bike has 20liters of fuel tank, projector headlights, hazard lights, easy to mount saddle bags, dual channel ABS,better build quality. I have done 1000km+ plus rides without any fuss. You'll feel to ride it more and more the bike just grows on you everytime you ride the bike.
