There are lighter bikes on the market that are easier to handle for a new rider. However, if your heart is set on a RE Classic 350, I would say go ahead and get it. It might take a little longer to get accustomed to it, but once you do, you will be happy with your decision. In my opinion, few other bikes can match the classic looks, sound, seating position, legacy, heritage and the sheer panache of a Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Same concern in 2016, i was about 65kg height 5'6 never ride any two-wheeler other than Honda activa. since then October 2016 model, 50,000+ km Royal Enfield classic 350 blue lagoon. RE is great for beginners, experience and Pro- But I would suggest go for ABS variant.

Yeah its a beginner friendly bike considering the power and torque output , but as you might be knowing the bike is on the heavier a side , if you are okay with it then beginning with it would not be a problem
