ABS stands for Antilock Braking System. ABS unit of your vehicle constantly monitor the speed of your vehicle through sensors mounted on the wheels and comes into play when you apply emergency brake to stop your vehicle. Instead of quick hydraulic pressure from the braking unit, the ABS unit measure the pressure of brake on wheels and wheel rotation and accordingly re-map required pressure to wheels so that the wheel does not get locked and the rider will not lose control due to tyre skidding. Its very helpful while emergency braking.
