• Q. What is the reason for a loud thud sound when shifting gears on Duke 250? Anyone facing the same problem?

    The thud sound is due to gear shifter not in sync with the gear sprocket. To a certain extent, this can be avoided by adjusting the chain. However a little bit of that sound would remain after running the motorcycle for few hundred kilometers. It is not harmful to the engine. Suggest you to adjust chain, clean and l**e it every 500 kms for a smooth ride.

    Because Bike starts at 1000-1500 rpm ,and when we upshift gear at this rpm range which is not ideal for 1st gear, it generate sound..solution is that after cold start, switch off the ignition, and then upshift gear before starting the engine

    I face the same issue.... When I shift the gear... It is soo rough and the this sound comes... But initially when I bought the bike it used to be smooth
