The RV400 is powered by an electric motor with a continuous power output of 3.0kW, connected to the rear wheel using a belt drive. Unlike the chain driven bike, the belt drive is maintenance free and doesn't require which requires very frequent cleaning, tightening and maintenance. However, the belt drive system is costlier to produce compared to the chain drive system. Also, it is expected to have better life frequency comparatively.
