Q. Which is good to buy between Apache 160 4v and Hornet 160R?
2K Views Follow Question Add Answer119 AnswersMayuresh | 6 years agoHey Vishal...To answer your question, its obvious to get confused with variety of bikes available in Indian market. As per choices you mentioned in your question, on first spot I will mention Hornet 160R and Apache 160 4V and on second spot its Yamaha. Lets first talk about Apache 160 4V. Completely raw power, good performance, good torque and power combination, good aggressive styling, everything is good but I still trust on Honda engines for reliability. Even when it comes to after sales network part then Honda is all over this country and that is the only advantage Honda is having. About Yamaha, in this 150-160 cc segment..it is something really falling behind. Less power compare to other two machines from your choice list. So I would say, If you need reliability with decent performance and wide service network go with Hornet or if you need some power packed action without thinking its resale value go for Apache 160
Pritam | 6 years agoEvery bike have some problems. But Hornet is little better than Apache 160 4V if you want this for commuting and some adrenaline rush. Because Hornet is the best Commuter Sport bike in his segment and it has the butter smooth refined engine. The 2018 model comes with an optional ABS and sealed chain which reduce the knocking sound and gives a better breaking efficiency. Its also have an LED DRL. Throttle response is little poor than apache . Apache RTR has the racing DNA but the 2018 4v have some engine, chain, gear and disk pad issues. Also its not comfortable for 6 feet guys but Hornet is. Recently I purchased the 2018 Hornet CBS model and my friend bought the Apache before. I ride both the bike and as per my opinion if you want a refined engine with a great speed and acceleration go for hornet and if you are a racing lover go for Apache.

Suvendu | 6 years agoHey listen, I was also confused between Hornet 160R and Gixxer. 1st suggestion must go for abs version bikes. So according to price Hornet Is. Bit more than Gixxer like about 6000 but the riding experience and comfortability is just awesome with Hornet and if you are family person then someone just love to sit in the back and the gixxer also amazing bike with a bit more milage than Hornet but back seat is not so awesome. Hornet has not kill switch while Gixxer has not led headlight. So make your choice. I like Hornet a bit more Than Gixxer for long Ride and city ride too. Hope you get the better one with your choice.
Sk | 5 years agoBrother go for hornet 160R it's maintenance cost pocket friendly but one thing in Honda's bike I don't like it's gear shifting sounds oh god very irritating. Apache 160 4v is very good bike but it's average not good . New hornet looks aggressive and muscular fat rear tyre size. And balancing is good on wet road .
Yogesh | 5 years agoI did not got a chance to ride Hornet 160. Though i really like the bike.I had to choose between Hornet and Gixxer. Then apache was launched after 1 month. I really like the design of Hornet. Since i have apache now and I am so impressed by the design , ride quality and all, I wont think of other bike in 160cc segment. Have a test drive of Both the bikes. I am quite sure you will go with Apache.
Ayaz | 5 years agoIt's depends on your usages. if you want for daily commute. then hornet is best because its mileage is very good. and if you want for short rides than Apache 160 4v best because of its pickup and top speed. I'm using hornet for daily commute and long rides because its comfort and milage is very good. hornet covers 550 to 600 km in 12 ltr petrol on 80-100 on average speed.
Engineer | 4 years agoHornet has single piece handle bar has reduced middle spine strain. handle is wide and easy for highway drive. Apache old model I have used, enormous throttling response but have some long term problems to driver
