Citroen C3

Features: The Citroen C3 gets features such as a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, remote keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, automatic climate control, a rear wiper/washer and a rear defogger. Safety is ensured by six airbags, ABS with EBD, and reverse parking sensors with a camera. It also features an electronic stability programme (ESP), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and hill hold assist.

Engine: The Citroen C3 gets two petrol engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine which produces 82 PS and 115 Nm and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that delivers 110 PS and up to 205 Nm of peak torque. The base petrol engine gets a 5-speed manual only, while the turbo-petrol engine can be had with either a 6-speed manual or an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The C3 measures 3981 mm in length, 1733 mm in width, 1586 mm in height, and has a 2540 mm wheelbase.

Rivals: The Citroen C3 rivals cars such as Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Celerio, Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago. In terms of dimensions and engine specifications, it goes up against the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Tata Punch, as well as premium hatches like the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza and Tata Altroz.

Variants: The C3 is available in three main trims - Live, Feel and Shine. It gets four monotone color options - Polar White, Platinum Grey, Steel Grey, and Cosmo Blue and 2 Dual tone options - Polar White Body with Platinum Grey Roof and Cosmo Blue Body with Polar White Roof.

Citroen India has launched the automatic variants of the C3 hatchback with prices starting at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with a 6-speed torque converter gearbox option which is available only in the top spec (Shine). It also gets a few feature additions, which include a 7-inch digital driver's display, six airbags, automatic climate control and LED projector headlights.
