Q. Which is better engine between Swift and Tata Tiago?

The question asked here is about the engines. The 4 cylinder power unit on Swift is much smoother, peppy and a reliable engine to rely on. The NVH levels in swift is much lesser in Swift than that of Tiago. The 3 cylinder Engine on Tiago causes vibration and it is very vocal when pushed hard, the reliability of the engine is still a question. Although we can trust Tata for the efforts they have been putting in to keep the flag high as an Indian automobile manufacturer. Keep in mind Even though Tiago is of better build quality, the over all driving experience is better in Swift.

Q. Serious confusion: I want an AMT, mostly will be driving in the city. I have shortlisted Maruti Swift ZXI AMT 2020 and Tata Tiago XZA plus 2020. What should i opt for between the two cars? Parameters looking for are safety, mileage, comfort and driving experience. (Am 6 feet tall).

@ Anant | I would suggest Swift. Swift is a proven model. Also AMT is a relatively new technology for indian mass market. You want to ensure that you have backup of best , wide and reputed proven service which maruti suzuki has in India...

A company which is not at all considered safety... Only to take money. Engine may good.. If accident occur customers has no guaranty. So i dislike maruthi. Only thing their services and parts availability is a good. But tata tiago sold above 3 lakh cars in four years. So quite natural now their services have already improved

Q. Should I buy Tiago XZA or Altroz XE rythm variant? I am confused between comfort and premium hatchback. Tiago XZA providing all the features but it is a hatchback and Altroz is a premium hatchback I can upgrade it after market. Please suggest which should I buy? Also tell me your choice between tiago xza or nios xma.

Tiago XZA seems a better choice- plus points- higher ground clearance, wider tyres (compared to Altroz XE Rythm), steering mounted infotainment controls, better mileage. etc.Minus points- lower safety rating, smaller dimensions(also a plus point), more vibration.

Q. Are you facing any problems with Tata Tiago? What is your opinion about this vehicle?

We purchased our 1st car brand new a week back - Tata Tiago and I am extremely saddened to say that my experience has not been good with the fit and finish of the car. We are not delighted at all/. I see those odd fitting gaps running throughout the car here and there. The fit and finish of the car inside and outside is bothering me a lot. Please suggest what can I do. Legal preceeding if any Dealer is compelling me for repair but its a new brand but sad part its a defective one.

Q. Hi, I am confused between Tiago XZ Plus and Polo Comfortline. This will be my first car and the difference between the two is about 1lac and obviously the Polo is from the Volkswagen brand so the quality is better but as I found in Tiago I did not get all the facilities. Please suggest Me...

Well. Even i was on this same confusion and bought VW 1.0 comfirtline. Let me tell you if you need premium quality, comfirt drive, safety, and the feel of german brand wwith european standard go for VW polo, but in comfirtline you get 1.0mpi not the turbo charged it will get in highline only, so you feel bit powerless on initial but drive quality is amazing after that in polo. Tiago is good in safety now and yeh 1.2 engine, still you don't feel premium or comfirt drive. You never regret buying polo.

Q. Can we use Tiago for long drive of something like 1200km?

Tata Tiago is a good overall package and offers a great number of features along with a comfortable cabin. You may go for a 1200km drive with the Tata Tiago, however, it will require proper planning as the smaller engine restrict its touring capabilities. Tiago is just a few years from its launch so can't say anything about long term but I have a manual tiago 16 months old and what I can say its a good vehicle I like everything about it and for amt version of tiago some people are happy with it and some not happy they complain about power loss all of a sudden so you can check out personally and people also recommend Ford figo amt as being the best so you can check that also all the best

In city with heavy traffic and ac on my patrol tiago gives 8 km /litre without ac ,this climbs up to 10 km/ litres. In highway with very good road conditions you can expect 16km/ litres with ac on and 18- 19km pl without ac . The only downside of this petrol car ,I feel ,is it's extremely poor mileage in city conditions with heavy traffic

In order to get better fuel efficiency returns from your car, there are some points that you can keep in mind while riding such as keeping a check on tyre air pressure, timely service your car, maintain proper gear to RPM ratio, do not accelerate the car unnecessarily, ride your car at economical speeds, etc.
